As part of our ongoing commitment to operational excellence, we are seeking a dependable Field Operations Administrator I to join our team and play a crucial role in our Field Operations department. The Field Operations Department Administrator coordinates and supports the Field Operations team that operates and maintains the water system to efficiently provide safe and reliable service to our customers. Coordinate the management and ordering of supplies for the office and break room following procurement policies.

Job Responsibilities

  • Respond to customer inquiries related to water/wastewater service issues, outages, and field service requests.
  • Provide status updates on work orders, repairs, meter investigations, and service interruptions.
  • Handle escalated complaints requiring coordination with field crews or supervisors.
  • Educate customers on water usage, conservation, leak detection, sewer backup prevention, and service policies.
  • Create, prioritize, and dispatch work orders for meter work, leaks, turn-ons/offs, and sewer complaints.
  • Track and document customer interactions and field findings in utility systems.
  • Support emergency responses for water main breaks, sewer blockages, and service disruptions.
  • Coordinate with crews to investigate high usage, meter issues, and water quality concerns.
  • Communicate service updates and maintenance impacts to customers and internal teams.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Prepare summaries, reports, and contribute to process improvements in customer and field workflows.

Work Experience

1 year of working in an operations environment (utility, engineering, construction, utility, manufacturing, etc.) performing administrative support and procurement functions is preferred. ERP experience is desirable (SAP - SM, DD, MM, CRM modules preferred).
