Overview

We’re seeking an Engineering Manager to make meaningful contributions to our infrastructure design and construction program. We serve our customers with a water distribution system that includes 18 wells, 32 reservoirs and more than 860 miles of pipeline. Our infrastructure program addresses the ever-growing need for new facilities and refurbishing existing facilities by designing and constructing new and replacement infrastructure. This role will perform project management, engineering design, hydraulic modelling, and prepare project design reports.

What You'll Bring

  • Experience:
    • 8 years of progressive engineering experience in the water related industry including routine engineering responsibilities
    • 5+ years of experience directly supervising an engineering technical staff as well as project management capabilities of public works projects
    • Knowledge of public works bidding procedures
    • 3+ years of experience preparing departmental operating budgets and capital improvement budgets

 

  • Education:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Higher

 

  • Certifications:
    • PE (Professional Engineer) Required
    • Driver's License

 

  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    • Strong analytical skills, ability to use thinking and reasoning to effectively identify and solve water quality problems
    • Moderate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 suite including Microsoft Excel and Word
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills

Work Location and Schedule

  • Primarily based at our Covina, CA office
  • 9/80 flexible/hybrid schedule, with every other Friday off
  • Regular business hours Monday through Friday 7:30am - 5:00pm.
