Summary

Our Texas Water Utilities division is searching for a  Water/Wastewater Operator - someone who knows the value of teamwork and appreciates the fact that our state's economy from oil and gas to agriculture and manufacturing, along with life in EVERY Texas town and city, depends on clean and reliable sources of water. Our operators are the heroes that make this happen!

 

The role requires good knowledge of plant operations, maintenance, and repairs. Must be TCEQ licensed. Must pass a background check and have a good driving record.

Purpose of the Job

Performs routine checks of the facilities; responsible for compliance with TCEQ or NPDES permit. Observes and monitors equipment and operations daily; assesses problems, diagnoses equipment failures; checks water well(s), lift station(s), treatment plants, etc. Respond to and investigate customer service calls. Pull motors and pumps for repair, and fabrication of parts as necessary.

Work Experience

3 years of directly related experience in water and/or wastewater system operations, maintenance, customer service, and prefer experience operating back-hoe and/or track-hoe equipment.
