What You'll Do
- Performs Operator duties under direct supervision of Lead Foreman
- Assists with assessment, planning and execution of service orders, including meter installs, service locates, rereads, meter disconnects, inventory, cleans office area and rest rooms, etc.
- Collects samples and performs routine monitoring and testing of water.
- Responsible for general housekeeping and grounds maintenance.
- Responsible for water line repairs, line installation, valve replacements, and other work as directed.
- Troubleshoots site equipment, including but not limited to pumps, power units, process and treatment system electrical, hydraulic and mechanical equipment
- Responds to and investigates customer service calls.
- Completes necessary paperwork in timely manner.
- Uses company provided technology such as cell phones, computers, and ipads
What You'll Bring
Experience
- 1-2 years of mechanical work experience
Education
- High School diploma or equivalent; valid driver's license with acceptable driving record;
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Basic skills with Microsoft Suite of applications
- Ability to read meters, charts, and gauges
- Ability to read and comprehend written technical information and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Ability to perform mathematical equations to determine chemical doses for flow rates and treatment
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Ability to operate, maneuver, and/or control the actions of equipment, machinery, and tools
Work Environment
- Extreme physical demands, including lifting (50 lbs.), walking (10+ miles daily), climbing and mechanical repair. You will be expected to work in all weather conditions: rain, snow, extreme heat and cold, etc; you may encounter various potential hazards in the field
