What You'll Do:

Essential Functions:
· Manage and oversee corporate accounting
· Review and approve journal entries
· Oversee internal and external monthly and quarterly reporting to management, shareholders, and creditors
· Assist with preparation and review of the various Company financial statements and related disclosures
· Lead role in coordination of the external audit of the various Company financial statements ensuring that audit is
completed in a timely manner
· Perform technical accounting research and provide guidance to support the Company including surrounding the
adoption of relevant Accounting Standard Updates.
· Ensure that financial records are maintained in compliance with GAAP as well as regulatory and Company
policies
· Assist with and support rate cases filed in various jurisdictions
· Participate in due diligence efforts for acquisition targets and purchase price accounting for closed transactions
· Focus on maintaining strong internal controls to ensure integrity of data
· Lead role in determining potential improvements in processes, including monthly close
· Participate in continuous documentation of accounting policies and procedures
· Manage direct reports, establish goals and core competencies for each year and monitor and advise on the
progress to enhance the staff's professional development · Undertake special projects and/or assignments as required by senior management including financial modeling, regulatory research, etc. · Other duties as assigned
What You'll Bring:
Education:
Accounting degree
Experience:
Minimum of eight years direct accounting experience requiring a thorough knowledge of accounting theory and practice as it relates to accounting systems, policies, procedures and reporting methods. At least five years of supervisory experience
Computer Skills:
Moderate to advanced knowledge of standard office spreadsheet, data and word processing programs.
Certifications & Licenses:
CPA license preferred with strong knowledge of GAAP.
