Purpose of the Job

This Manager, Development Services will provide strategic leadership, direction, management, and the vision necessary during pre-construction and construction phases of new developments to ensure the overall successful delivery of each project. Will have direct responsibility, helping identify and assess risk and manage expectations around cost, schedule, quality, and feasibility throughout all phases of development to ensure the decisions made in concept become reality.

Job Responsibilities

Essential Functions Statement(s)

  • Construction management of multiple construction projects through the supervision of selected design and construction personnel and/or organizations.
  • Assists with the due diligence process, reviewing budget proposals, and recommending subsequent budget changes where necessary.
  • Provides management with updated analysis and projections on the status of new development projects focusing on management of change, schedule compliance, cost control and major project highlights.
  • Oversight of the responsible design vendor, often through Project Managers, during project conceptual and design phases relative to construction and budget matters.
  • Participates in the pre-qualification and selection of the construction vendors for responsible projects using negotiation or a competitive selection process.
  • Serves as a resource to Project Managers, providing them with direction and decision making to maintain goals and objectives of projects.

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering

Work Experience

Minimum of 10 years of construction and / or developer experience with industrial construction projects.
