Purpose of the Job

Responsible for all aspects of planning for new developments to be acquired or connecting to existing systems owned and operated by Southwest Water Company. The Project Manager for new development will enforce all design and construction standards for SouthWest Water Company, ensure proposed projects meet TCEQ requirements and prepare the water and wastewater systems to be acquired for long-term success. Analyzes plans, designs, and cost estimates for proposed developments.

Job Responsibilities

Analyze developer plans and provide cost estimates and options for construction of water facilities
Maintain standard specifications and drawings
Complete due diligence research for proposed developments
Assist in strategic engineering planning
Assist with capital budget preparation

Office-Based Role

Work Experience

5+ years in the water/wastewater industry or related field experience is required. Experience with land development projects, water and wastewater planning, and project cost estimating is desired. Must be able to work with land developers, City Engineers and Public Works Directors concerning capital improvement planning/projects. Experience performing water and wastewater industry routine engineering practices and supervise personnel as assigned.
