Overview

Nexus Water Group has an opportunity for a Staff Accountant II. This role performs a variety of accounting assignments including account analyses, account reconciliation of sub-ledgers to general ledger, monthly JE preparation, monthly, quarterly and year-end closing. Gathers, analyzes, and compiles highly technical data for special reports to management and governmental agencies which may require specialized investigation and analysis.

Job Responsibilities

Assist with audit preparation
Prepare financial reports
Prepare and record financial data
Full-cycle accounting

Work Experience

5 years general accounting experience and application of GAAP to day to day accounting transactions and analysis, or equivalent. A general knowledge of GAAP and other accounting principles as well as a good working knowledge of general ledgers, balance sheets, income statements, statement of cash flow, and related financial statements and schedules. Has ability to communicate effectively with Company personnel in various organizational segments. Moderate to advanced knowledge of common word processing, spreadsheet and data base software.
